Q: Where is the furniture made?
A: We have a Furniture mill in the village of Salisbury, Vermont.

Q: Where does the wood come from?
A: Our native hardwoods come from the Northeast, mostly New England.

Q: What do you use for a finish?
A: Our furniture goes through several stages of sanding. Then several coats of a clear catalyzed lacquer are applied, hand rubbing with 00 steel wool between each coat. Finally a past wax is rubbed onto the surface.

Q: How do we care for our furniture?
A: Wipe with a damp cloth for cleaning. Periodically, especially on horizontal surfaces reapply a clear paste wax (sold in most lumber and hardware stores).

Q: What is the lead time?
A: Normal cycles run 6 – 12 weeks. Often time’s pieces are already in stock. Custom or customizing furniture may take longer.

Q: Do you ever have sales or discounts on your furniture?
A: Check our “Current Specials” category. We have monthly specials and several times of the year we have storewide sales.



Q: How do we pay for the furniture?
A: With placement of an order of furniture we ask approximately one third as a deposit. The balance is due when the furniture is completed. We accept cash, check, MC or Visa.



Q: How do we receive our furniture?
A: Most people arrange to pick up their furniture, however we can make the arrangements to deliver your furniture. We ship in state on our own delivery truck and box to ship on national trucking companies for orders going out of state. We belong to a Merchant Shipper’s association so we obtain very reasonable rates which we pass on to you. And if we ship out of state, we do not need to charge 6% Vermont sales tax.
